Christmas Festival Weekend with Great Scottish Events

Join JNF for our first year at the Great Scottish Events Christmas Charity Festival 

Inverleith Park, Edinburgh

Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th December

Festival weekend of fun, winter 5k & 10k run, festive walks, tinsel, fancy dress, Santa and his reindeer, and much more. There will be something for everyone and the whole family can get involved from tiny tots to grandparents. Prizes across all events for best dressed! We are thinking all things festive for the fancy dress – Santa, Elves, Reindeer or even a Christmas pud!

SATURDAY 3rd DECEMBER

9.30am – Santa Parade
Santa will parade through Stockbridge then officially open his Grotto in Inverleith Park with a Pipe Band, his trusty reindeer and an escort of Elves with Santa’s little helpers. Visit Santa’s Grotto and his reindeer throughout the day

10.15am – Charity Fayre
Browse local crafts stalls and enjoy a hot drink and cake
10.30am onwards – JNF stall/MEETING POINT
Register at the JNF stall for your walking challenge and fancy dress competition!

1pm – The Edinburgh Christmas Walk 10k
If you are looking to join a fun and memorable day out for everyone, then this walk is for you and the whole gang! No one will be excluded. The walk will include going along the Water of Leith and finishing in Inverleith Park via Stockbridge

1.30pm – The Edinburgh Golden Tinsel Mile Walks
Walk, Stroll 1, 2, or 3 miles – you choose the distance. This is a great challenge for everyone of all abilities to take part in. Do you want to participate in an event that will be fun and also a little bit of a challenge? Then the Golden Tinsel Mile Walks are for you

3.00pm – Carol Service
With mince pies and mulled wine

SUNDAY 4TH DECEMBER

9.00am – Charity Fayre Opens
Browse local crafts stalls and enjoy a hot drink and cake
9am onwards – JNF stall/MEETING POINT

Register at the JNF stall for your run, walk, toddle and fancy dress!

9.30am – The Edinburgh Christmas Run 5k
The Edinburgh Christmas 5k Run is open to all, seasoned runners or beginners. Special prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd and all runners have place and times recorded. Unique medals and Goody bags to all participants.

10.30am – The Edinburgh Christmas Run 10k

A wee bit more of a challenge, perfect for that pre-Christmas feel good feeling or improving your PB! Special prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd and all runners have place and times recorded. Unique medals and Goody bags to all participants.

1.30pm – The Christmas Toddle & Parade
Follow Santa riding in his magnificent sleigh and being pulled along by his favourite reindeers as they parade through Inverleith Park. Each child will receive a goody bag, medal and certificate on completion! Visit Santa’s Grotto and his reindeer throughout the day.
